Infection control specialists dentisan have recruited a new Business Development Manager to cover their Southern territory. Anne Harris joined the team on 1st July, attracted by dentisan’s ethical trading, range of products, manufacturing heritage and focus on training and education.
Anne has been in sales for the majority of her career and has almost 10 years’ experience specifically in dental infection control. Having been part of the industry before, during and after the publication of HTM 01-05 Anne has seen a lot of change in the sector:
“There are a lot of practices who naturally seek out infection control advice and training, but there are still those that are more reluctant to take new systems on board. Part of my remit is to educate the whole profession, including dentists and nurses, about how decontamination processes can be integrated with the minimum of fuss and become part of the everyday routines that safeguard staff and patients.”
Having taken a career break in 2011 to do some global travelling, Anne was keen to get back into dental sales on her return to the UK at the end of last year and was delighted to secure this position at dentisan, in an area of dentistry in which she is so interested.
Working alongside Henry Schein Dental’s FSCs and telesales team, Anne is excited and enthusiastic about the prospect of re-establishing her previous relationships with practice managers, nurses and dentists.
Anne loves travelling and has visited some amazing parts of the world, but for now her feet are firmly in the UK, she says: “The world is a big place and there’s still plenty of places for me to see, but for the moment I am concentrating on dentisan and the South of England!”
Anne will be visiting practices from the beginning of August. If you need advice or help on any aspect of infection control you can give Anne a call on 07741 312515 or email ah@dentisan.co.uk.
