Outside her role as Research and Development Chemist for infection control specialists dentisan, Laura Yates currently volunteers and sits on various committees and boards of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).
The RSC is the UK’s leading professional body for chemical sciences and has been in existence for 175 years. Their recent General Assembly in Manchester included presentations recognising those whose voluntary efforts have been instrumental in driving and delivering activities that have had a real impact on their communities.
The East Midlands Local Section, of which Laura is honorary treasurer, was presented with an Inspirational Committee award for their commitment to diversity and inclusion for the events they run, as well as for the make up of their committee. Laura said she was honoured to be able to attend the ceremony and accept the award with two other colleagues on behalf of everyone on the committee.
dentisan is delighted that Laura and her RSC colleagues have been recognised for their hard work and dedication to others. Commercial Director Bob Newsome offered his congratulations on behalf of his fellow directors:
“Laura’s achievement is further proof of how the expertise of dentisan employees is highly valued not only by our company but also by the scientific organisations they represent.”
